COUNCILOR MARIE JOY ESPINOSA MENDEZ

Joy-joy as most people called her, or Councilor Marie Joy E. Mendez is the re-elected Municipal Councilor of the Municipality of Bacolod, coming from the elite family of Espinosa from Rupagan, is the eldest among the four children of Mr. and Mrs. Joey Espinosa the owner of MACBOY Beach Resort.

Started as Barangay Kagawad of Rupagan, and even adding to her popularity when she won the Ms. Queen Size (a contest among the fattest women in town) Councilor Mendez run for a higher position last 2007 local election, and made her the only flower among the thorns, Active and Participative as she is, she started wholesome advocacies and ideals on the community  like Violence against women and children.

Holding the Committee on Finance and Market and Slaughter house, Councilor Mendez is likewise an officer of the Provincial PCL, and NMYL of Lanao del Norte chapter.
